Dr. Jim Parry is a South Dakota native with more than 30 years of experience in local school districts, state education department, and university settings. He holds a PhD in special education and educational technology from Utah State University. Since 1986, he has been the Director of Technology and Innovations in Education (TIE) and has traveled the region sharing his vision and providing leadership regarding current and emerging technologies to empower students, educators and citizens. Dr. Parry writes for state and regional publications and holds adjunct faculty appointments from several Midwest universities. He is a respected consultant in the areas of technology as well as restructuring schools. His motivational, futuristic presentations have earned him numerous speaking engagements at national and regional conferences across the country.
